A SHORTLIST OF KOLDOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS 2003 TO 2009:
• Brought Peoplehood to the forefront of Jewish conversations
• Most major Jewish gatherings such as those run by Jewish Agency,
WJC and UJC now include a forum on Jewish Peoplehood, as compared
to 2003 when they did not
• Created a neutral platform that exists to connect leaders,
activists, and their networks, independent of any larger
organizational ownership
• Created Paths to Peoplehood, a regular bi- monthly newsletter, to
disseminate emerging Peoplehood ideas. The newsletter is
e-published in English and Hebrew and reaches thousands of people
worldwide
• Held four global conferences in Israel – The number of
participants in the conferences has risen steadily over the years,
culminating in 2008 with 145 participants from 23 countries around
the world
• Held a European Conference in Brussels in 2006
• Inspired and catalyzed the creation of global Jewish Social
Action Month • Jewish Social Action Month was recognized in the
Israeli Knesset, British Parliament and by the US Congress
• Jewish Social Action Month has quickly spread to Jewish
Communities around the world including major cities in the US, the
UK, South Africa, Romania, and Israel • In 2008 Jewish Social
Action Month included over 80 Organizations and over 12,000
individual participants worldwide
• Collaborated with Beth Hatefutsoth and the UJC to create and
dispense the Peoplehood Papers, an academic quarterly discussing
issues facing Jewish Peoplehood today
• Received a voting seat at the World Jewish Congress Plenary
Assembly
• Received observer status at the JAFI Board of Governors
• Influenced the agendas of Jewish organizations
• In 2008 KolDor collaborated with the UJC and Hillel to create the
NextGen Day, and leading two sessions at the 2008 General
Assembly
• KolDor partnered with JAFI and the UJC Young Leadership cabinet
to co-produce a session at the JAFI General Assembly
• The Jewish Agency approached KolDor in 2009 to help devise a
young leadership advisory committee to its Board of Governors
• Playing a key role in the Hub conversations between the New York
Federation and JAFI, taking part in the ongoing conversation
regarding Jewish Peoplehood
• Catalyzed and inspired actions on the local, national, and global
levels
