An answer for the post-Madoff era?

I'm so proud of this initiative - only four-months old and already 170 projects on the site, thousands of dollars raised. I only left KolDor professionally because I truly believe that this is the future of Jewish philanthropy
JGooders is a unique model in that it of course focuses on the Jewish and Israeli arenas - but also makes NO money from the donations. over 95% of the money makes it to the organization (the rest ends up going to credit card fees and 1% to the foundation that transfers the money).
Most importantly - it puts the power in our hands and reminds us that our generation can impact the Jewish world - if we choose to support each other, support innovative projects - even with small somes of money. obama proved that the long tail of donors has tremendous power - and so can we!
