Transitions - Letter of Introduction from Safra
Dear friends,
Having been introduced into the KolDor network only a short while ago, it was immediately clear to me that I had found my niche in a network of leaders and activists worldwide whose agenda is to strengthen Jewish Peoplehood. Now, taking over the position of executive director for this great network, I know that we will grow together; I, in the KolDor network and KolDor within the Jewish world.
I have spent my entire life involved in the Jewish world in some way or another and immediately following high school fulfilled my dream of Aliya and joining the IDF. I returned the States to study and became deeply involved in Israel advocacy on campus; later deciding to finish my B.A. at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya (IDC), specializing in Counter-terrorism and International Relations. I continued on to complete my M.A. in Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution, and became director of the Hillel at the IDC, where beyond pluralistic and cultural activities, we worked hard to bridge the gap between the Israeli school and the huge International school on campus.
Now, I have finished my studies and have begun a new chapter. Filling Tova's shoes will be no simple task. As the new executive director, my work is to bring KolDor to new heights and to strengthen the KolDor name and principles throughout the Jewish world. I am optimistic regarding the impact of KolDor. Although we are currently experiencing a global economic crisis which has in some way affected each one of us, this too shall pass and KolDor will emerge vigilant and strong.
Over the next few months, I would like to be in contact with individual KolDorians in order to piece together a vision of the future of KolDor. As with Tova before me, I make myself available to you regarding any and all matters that you wish to discuss. I also look forward to getting to know each of you better on an individual basis. I would like to thank you for giving me this opportunity to bring KolDor to the next level and allowing to me become a part of such an extraordinary network. I would also like to wish Tova all the best in her future endeavors and to thank her for her help in preparing me for such an exciting undertaking.
